😀 i do!!! Listen, the Dragon Age games helped me so much, honestly. Part of the reason I’m so passionate about this David Gaider stuff is bc playing DA:I as a male Lavellan and romancing Dorian was a HUGE step for me towards accepting and understanding my own sexuality and gender. This was during a time in my life when I was in denial of my sexuality & gender identity, in a manipulative relationship, and going through the worst depression spiral and body dysphoria of my life so far. Dragon Age was an escape for me, but it was also a lot of self reflection and expression. So Inquisition will always be closest to my heart for that reason.
I love how customizable the characters are in DA:I too, and after I discovered mods….that was the point of no return. I played DA2 after DA:I, and never finished Origins, but I played Origins as a female Tabris (City Elf Origin) and romanced Zevran. I played DA2 three times, first as a FemHawke mage (Mari) who romanced Fenris, then as an MHawke mage who uhhhh also romanced Fenris, then as another FemHawke, rogue this time, who romanced Merrill.
As for Inquisition….buckle in lmao
My very first inquisitor & my absolute forever son, Inquisitor Echo Lavellan, romanced Dorian Pavus (I wrote several fics about these two), and it was. So good. So fucking good. for so many reasons. look at them im so proud
My second Inquisitor was Adria Trevelyan, who romanced Cullen. I was intrigued and wanted to try the Templar path even tho I’m a Mage Stan (and Adria is a mage, so it was…interesting). I don’t have a screenshot of her with Cullen but believe you me, she’s more important, admire my daughter
and here’s my third Inquisitor, Mae Lavellan. she romanced solas. rest in fucking pieces, ‘nuff said
Aaaand my last child is Inquisitor Katari Adaar, dragon daughter of my heart. her playthrough was destined to be WILD from the start bc it was 1. FULL OF MODS and 2. ON NIGHTMARE MODE. Her party alternated from the most beefed up versions of Iron Bull, Sera, and Solas that I could possibly create. It was wild. Katari is a Knight Enchanter with majority ice spells, which is supposedly the ideal combo in DA:I. Debatable, but Knight Enchanters are still SO FUN to play.
she romanced iron bull but if I could go back, I think I would go the Sera route instead. maybe i will go back i miss her and this game (clearly LOL)

Is it too much to ask to find some pro-Cullen Dragon Age blogs? I’m so tired of seeing the hate towards him on my dash, I love the way the character has grown since DAO and I just want to follow people who appreciate him like I do.
brain: okay but have you considered the idea that varric was in love with hawke for a decade and made his whole life about her and wrote an entire book praising her to the skies and gave up everything to protect her from the inquisition
