Two Dragon Age Novels Get Deluxe Editions

Dragon Age: The Calling and Dragon Age: The Stolen Throne, both written by BioWare’s former lead writer David Gaider, are getting made over into separate deluxe editions. The books will feature 24 new illustrations (each!), covered in a stylish supple faux leather cover and a ribbon bookmark.

Both The Calling and The Stolen Throne tell the tale of King maric as he grew up and rose to power, before the events of Dragon Age: Origins. The new books are available for pre-order on Amazon.

Dragon Age Will Not Be Shown At EA Play or E3

Dragon Age will not be shown at EA Play. It’s to be expected since Bioware is in full gear to promote Anthem, however a recent Twitter thread by actor Greg Ellis, voice of Cullen in Dragon Age: Inquisition, stirred some crazy buzz.

In the tweet, Greg Ellis mentions that he can “disclose details” about a game he is voicing, as part of a very long thread of tweets talking about the game he is working. He also has referenced the company to be one whose name starts with “B”. He also tags #cullenites in the description as well. Quickly, however, Mark Darrah stated that nothing Dragon Age related will be announced at EA Play nor E3. 

While this does not completely discredit the possibly of at least mentioning the future of the series, or a complete bamboozle and something WILL show up anyway, with Anthem on the horizon we likely won’t see the next Dragon Age anytime in the near future.
