It’s sad how Solas awakens to a world which treats the magic of the Fade as if it were synonymous with the magic of Blight: corrupting, dangerous, evil.
I desperately want to know what Solas knows and isn’t fucking saying.
When he says “nothing in any lore connects my people to the Old God dragons who became Archdemons” he words it very carefully.
He doesn’t say “there IS no connection” – he says, “there is no LORE that connects them,” meaning that whatever the connection was, it has long since been forgotten. He words things in a sneaky way a lot.
Solas: “That’s madness! For all we know, killing the Old Gods could make things even worse!”
acecasinova, can you not. pls. I can barely function as a person already. jk pls don’t stop . Am I the only one that imagines Cole perched precariously?
Honestly? Bless this trailer. Because if it weren’t for this trailer, showing us the red lyrium idol in higher graphics, I never would have noticed that pointed piece on the skeletal top figure’s head.
It reminds me of two things:
1) The depictions we’ve seen of Andraste –
2) The depictions we’ve seen of Mythal, and what Flemeth wears –
Given Andraste wasn’t even born at the time of the red lyrium idol’s creation most likely, (the thaig it was found in being pre-Blight) but we know from Trespasser that the ancient elves were underground harvesting lyrium and likely getting their magic orbs from Titans, and even built statues and places of worship underground, if there is any actual correlation and it’s not just a coincidence, I’m guessing it’s the later of the two.
Anyway, I’m not that surprised that red lyrium is still important to the plot, considering in Knight Errant and Deception, we see that not only do the Venatori still persist, but that they are looking for information about red lyrium. Whatever is going on, the nature of lyrium is probably a big key.
Do I have questions? Yes I have questions motherfucker let me go grab my list…
